Based in Raymond, Custom Handyman Solutions is best known for a willingness to help people, and LeMay’s passion is carpentry work, including kitchen renovations, trim, crown molding, which adds the perfect touch to any project.

“A large portion of my work involves custom trim installation, crown molding, wainscoting, shiplap, drywall finishing, and basement renovations,” LeMay said. “These projects allow me to combine precision craftsmanship with creativity to help homeowners elevate their living spaces. While I enjoy all aspects of home improvement, some of my favorite projects involve custom built-ins and transforming a client's vision from a sketch on paper into a finished feature that becomes a focal point in their home.”

He specializes in a wide range of residential home improvement and finish carpentry services, including kitchen renovations and remodeling; custom trim installation; crown molding; wainscoting; shiplap accent walls; flooring installation and repairs; drywall installation and finishing; custom built-ins and shelving; light fixture replacement; faucet installation; vanity and plumbing fixture replacement; basement finishing; and general home repairs and finish work. “Before starting my business, I worked in customer-facing roles where I learned the importance of communication, responsiveness, and trust,” he said. “I carry those same principles into every project I take on today. I don't view my work as simply completing a job and moving on. I strive to build lasting relationships with my customers by being punctual, transparent, responsive, and respectful of both their time and their homes.”

According to LeMay, he works hard to keep his pricing fair, honest, and competitive and to respect the job sites he works in.

“As a father, I understand how important it is to maintain a clean and safe living environment. When my daughter was younger, she experienced frequent respiratory illnesses, which gave me a heightened awareness of dust control and indoor air quality,” LeMay said. “Because of that experience, I regularly utilize dust containment systems such as ZipWalls and HEPA filtration whenever possible to minimize disruption and keep homes clean throughout the renovation process. I treat every home as if it were my own and take great pride in delivering quality workmanship while maintaining a clean and professional job site.”

He genuinely loves what he does and focuses on quality craftsmanship by investing in professional-grade tools and equipment to ensure the best possible results that exceed expectations.

LeMay’s path to finish carpentry wasn't traditional. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology from the University of Southern Maine only to discover it wasn’t the right career for him. He went on to attend Northeast Technical Institute, where he earned certifications in HVAC technology.

“Over the years, I worked in maintenance and facilities-related positions while continuing to develop my woodworking and carpentry skills as a hobby,” LeMay said. “What began as a personal passion gradually evolved into something much more meaningful. I found myself increasingly drawn to hands-on craftsmanship and the satisfaction that comes from creating something tangible. The more projects I completed, the more I realized that building and creating was where my true passion lived. Encouraged by my brother-in-law, I began taking on finish carpentry projects on weekends while working a full-time desk job. As demand grew and my passion continued to deepen, I made the decision to take a leap of faith and pursue my dream full-time.”

Starting Custom Handyman Solutions has allowed LeMay to combine craftsmanship, creativity, and customer service into a career that he truly loves and every day he now has the opportunity to help homeowners improve their homes while doing work that he’s genuinely passionate about.
