Robbins Property Services is owned by Brody Robbins, who is committed to being a trusted partner in providing reliable and dependable landscaping services that exceed the expectations of customers. The company also offers dumpster rentals with roll-off dumpsters, excavation work, and seasonal and monthly contracts for properties of all shapes and sizes.

With experienced staff, Robbins Property Services provides expertise in mowing, mulching, lawn seeding, tree trimming, tree pruning, shrub removal, regular one-time yard and site clean-ups, along with snow plowing and sidewalk shoveling during the winter. Its commitment to quality work and affordable pricing is unwavering, along with their modern and efficient machinery and tools to get their work done properly.

“At Robbins Property Services, we strive to make every customer feel like they are the most important customer we have, and we do that by paying attention to detail and exceeding expectations on each job,” Robbins said. “We offer tailored landscaping and snow management services, with everything from seasonal clean-ups and winter plowing to meticulous lawn care like edging, de-thatching, and mulching to elevate your property’s allure and ensure year-round safety and beauty.”

According to Robbins, dependability, reliability, and dedication to customer satisfaction has always been the cornerstone of Robbins Property Services.

“We are fully licensed and insured and our pricing is extremely competitive, reasonable and fair,” he said. “We’re committed to environmentally friendly practices and materials, helping to preserve the natural beauty of our surroundings for future generations.”

As a former landscaping foreman for several large landscaping companies, Robbins said he learned a great deal about how to successfully operate a business and dreamed of an opportunity to launch his own company before founding Robbins Property Services in 2018. Now he employs a staff of up to 20 depending upon the season, and his business has cemented a solid reputation in the Lakes Region of Maine for honesty and personalized quality work.

The company is a trendsetter and offers liquid salt brine applications for walkways and driveways during winter, becoming one of the first businesses in Maine to do so. Salt brine is a proactive winter anti-icing agent which adheres better than dry salt, works immediately, and reduces total salt usage.

Annual plans offered by Robbins Property Services provide comprehensive property care solutions and can be customized to meet specific needs and fit every budget.

As more customers have learned about his business, Robbins says many are surprised to discover the extent of landscaping services that they offer to the community.

“Everyone typically thinks we just mow lawns,” Robbins said. “But when they discover we can help them in so many other ways, they ask why we didn’t let them know about those other services much sooner.”

For example, Robbins can deliver mulch and place it where it’s needed so customers don’t have to make a trip to a box store and do it by themselves. Workers can perform aeration to improve soil health and promote better water and nutrient absorption and are experts at hydroseeding, a method for applying grass seed that creates an ideal environment for growing a healthy lawn.

The landscape and design team at Robbins Property Services can work with customers to create vibrant and colorful flower and gardens beds or to redesign a property’s overall landscaping theme.

“With years of experience serving the Lakes Region of Maine, we understand the unique climate, soil conditions, and native plant species that thrive in this area to ensure your landscape is tailored to its surroundings,” Robbins said.

With the ability to excavate and provide hardscaping, Robbins Property Services can design features to complement a home’s style while planning for functionality and using a layered approach with materials like stone, pavers, or gravel, and incorporating plants for texture, proper drainage and creation of an outdoor space to be enjoyed all year round.

Robbins said he founded Robbins Property Services to present quality services, expertise, knowledge and experience required by the community.

“We can be counted upon to get the job done, no matter how tough the job may appear to be.”

Licensed, insured and based in Casco, the company takes great pride in providing expert installations and quality service to its customers throughout the Sebago Lakes Region of Maine and beyond.

The array of helpful services offered by Coastal Climate Controls includes all types of residential, commercial, refrigeration HVAC and plumbing services and the company can assist by delivering innovative, creative or simple solutions to meet your needs.

“We offer all-hours emergency services even for difficult situations and comprehensive heat pump service on all makes and models,” Thomson said. “I have extensive knowledge on Mitsubishi and Daikin heat pumps and VRF service that puts me ahead of my competitors. Customers usually must work with larger mechanical contractors to find someone with my level of expertise.”

Coastal Climate Controls can deliver exceptional maintenance, service and installations for fuel oil-fired systems, propane or natural gas-fired systems, and heat pumps, ductless or ducted. They perform commercial VRF service and installations, electrical upgrades to heating or cooling equipment circuits, plumbing rough-ins and finishes, server rooms, commercial rooftop units and propane tank connections.

Quarterly, bi-annual or annual maintenance programs are available for customers and Coastal Climate Controls is on duty 24 hours a day for your emergency situations and they also service equipment that wasn’t originally installed by them. They also offer heat pump water heater service which often goes unnoticed and maintenance needs arise only after a system has experienced an error or failure.

“I always try to give customers that best service that fits their needs,” Thomson said. “I'm not afraid to take the extra time to make any service or installation work to look and work better overall. I have a heavy background in controls, heat pumps, make-up air units, process cooling, hydronics and heating systems.”

The company is known for its rapid response rate and its ability to help customers design solutions for heating or cooling needs that other companies can’t provide unless they're larger mechanical contractors.

Besides Thomson, Coastal Climate Controls employs a master plumber and a heat pump service technician.

In business as Coastal Climate Controls since 2018, Thomson first got his start working for Haley's Metal Shop in Biddeford as an apprentice. He then worked his way up to Master Oil Technician, Propane and Natural Gas Service Technician and Installer. Later, he added endorsements for large gas-fired equipment, tank setting and underground gas piping and recently he obtained a plumbing license. He’s also able to perform some heating work in New Hampshire.

“I've been a professor at Southern Maine Community College for the last six years in the HVAC & Plumbing Department,” Thomson said. “I used to be timid about teaching but over the past few years I've enjoyed watching the students grow through their learning experiences within the various programs. I don't mind taking extra time with my students or my customers to teach and explain how their systems work. I believe having both educational and technical backgrounds have helped propel my business forward these past years.”

Thomson said that Coastal Climate Controls is committed to delivering expert service and fair pricing to customers. He said that they strive to provide invaluable assistance and help at times when customers require their services the most. Free estimates are always offered for replacing or installing any new heating, cooling or ductless equipment, plumbing rough-ins or finish plumbing work. The veterinary facility opened in 2023 at into  158 Roosevelt Trail in Windham and now offers expanded services to include a weekend veterinary urgent care clinic along with dentistry services for cats and dogs. Its dedicated team aims to provide prompt, caring, and skillful medical attention, allowing for personalized treatment of pets in the Lakes Region.

At Mainely Veterinary Dentistry & Urgent Care, state-of-the-art veterinary equipment is used to treat urgent care conditions that may affect area pets.

“We are thrilled to offer urgent care services to help people and their cats, dogs and other pets when available. With our equipment and technology that we use to help pets with their oral health, we know we can be a valuable place for people to come when they have an urgent issue that we can address and save them time and money from traveling far distances. The community we’ve built at MVD is where teamwork, kindness, advocacy, and education are at the center of everything we do,” said Dr. Jennifer Keaten, the owner of Mainely Veterinary Dentistry & Urgent Care.

She said that the company has seen a significant amount of interest in urgent care services through phone calls, emails and website visits to inquire about pets who have urgent health conditions.

“These are for simple things such as ear infections that can’t wait but they can’t get in at other clinics,” Keaten said. “It mixes well with our dental practice. and we’ve hired veterinarians to be on staff on weekends for support and making us much more knowledgeable on weekends.”

By adding urgent care services covering from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays through Sundays, Mainely Veterinary Dentistry & Urgent Care is now a closer option for many residents instead of driving into Portland as well as being an urgent care that knows about veterinary dentistry needs if that is what a pet requires.

“There is lots of information on our website, but we treat non-threatening but serious things such as urinary issues, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, sneezing, toxin ingestion, eye problems, ear infections, torn nails, laceration repair, quill removal, allergic reaction, not eating, weight loss, limping, and back or neck pain.”

The fear-free approach offered by MVD helps to keep pets comfortable during their time spent with veterinarians.

“We do not rush through appointments and give the pet the time and space they need and give them treats when we can to give them a positive experience.” Keaten said. “We do most of our exams on cats in our cat bed in the window so they can look outside at the bird feeder and other things. We even have a virtual waiting room so that you can see how long it will be before we can see you and so you don’t have to wait in the parking lot for the appointment, you can come in when we are ready for you.”

Keaten says Mainely Veterinary Dentistry & Urgent Care is excited to offer this new urgent care service to help pets in the community.

“We are especially excited about the opportunity for people to get appropriate dentistry care on the weekend,” she said. “That does not mean we will be doing full dentistry procedures on the weekend, but our urgent care team will be informed on how to keep them stable and what medications to prescribe to keep them comfortable for a dentistry procedure.”

As a veterinarian since 2013 and before that a technician at Fryeburg Veterinary Hospital for four years, Keaten has loved veterinary dentistry and preventive medicine since she was a technician and developed a drive for urgent care while working as a veterinarian at Norway Veterinary Hospital and Petmedic in Portland. She started the business with three employees and her, and she now has a staff of 22 people working there.

According to Keaten, MVD is a privately owned and woman-owned veterinary practice and she is enthusiastic to offer weekend urgent care services to help local pets and their owners.
